Subunit vaccines: protection designed from what matters.

We select the part of the pathogen that actually matters, to trigger a specific immune response.

Protection is won in the gut.

It is the entry point for 95% of pathogens, and where the vaccine has to act.

From the whole bacterium to the essential piece

Four steps explaining why a subunit protects without introducing the pathogen into the bird.

  1. The whole pathogen

Salmonella carries many components, and most of them are not needed for protection.

  2. Selecting the antigenic component

We identify the key part of the pathogen, the one best able to trigger immunity.

  3. Purified subunit

Only that component is produced and purified, keeping its structure and function intact.

  4. A specific immune response

The subunit activates the gut mucosal defences, inducing protective immunity without introducing any pathogen.
